PolyFinish is an MMA resin used in conjunction with quartz sand and the Stormcure Protec System to provide a robust surface suitable for encountering regular foot traffic. Available in clear, light grey, dark grey, and un-pigmented, PolyFinish provides enhanced flexibility to suit project aesthetics.
PolyFinish is compatible with Stormcure’s leading ProGrip one coat anti-slip surface protection solution, applied on top to achieve easy cleaning and an extra durable finish. As the finishing component to a Stormcure liquid waterproofing system, PolyFinish boasts superior weather resistance, in addition to being solvent free, easy to apply, and fast curing.

Featured Case Study - PolyFinish
pLUNGE POOL
PolyFinish and Protec FW-25 were the specified system for this plunge pool, due to their high aesthetic capabilities and lasting waterproof performance. With its fully cold-applied, flame-free installation, works were able to be carried out quickly and efficiently, minimizing disruption to the client’s garden. Using Protec FW-25 was crucial for this project, as the client kept to their budget, while achieving a high quality, visually appealing end result.

Project Challenges
This residential client was after a plunge pool in the garden, allowing them to cool off after working out in the home gym. They engaged a Stormcure Authorized Contractor as they knew they could create a visually pleasing pool, whilst sticking to their set budget. The contractor specified Protec FW-25 for the project due to its cost-effectiveness and attractive finish, meeting all the client’s requirements. Protec FW-25 is the perfect system for this home plunge pool, due to the versatility of the system. Its flexibility allows it to waterproof a range of surfaces, ranging from flat roofs, to car parks, and plunge pools. Following a survey by the Stormcure Authorized Contractor, the desired pool area was excavated and a waterproof barrier membrane fitted. On top of this waterproof membrane, the timber framing of the pool was constructed.
The Solution
After the timber framing of the pool was constructed and fitted, the timber boards were primed with Self-Adhesive Primer before fitting the Stormcure Self-Adhesive Foil-Faced Carrier Layer. Next, Stormcure’s Protec FW-25 system was applied to the carrier layer. Two layers of the reinforced Protec FW-25 system
were used to create an extremely tough and durable waterproof base, essential for the plunge pool. The second coat of Protec FW-25 was customized with a special
pigment in the client’s choice of RAL color, producing a vibrant sky-blue finish. For a glittery and glossy effect, a holographic aggregate was blended into Stormcure’s PolyFinish Clear, which sealed the entire pool and delivered a stunning final result that met the client’s expectations.
