One Coat, Anti-Slip Solution
ProGrip is a hybrid MMA anti-slip coating that is designed to provide durable anti-slip resistant finishes in just a single coat. The liquid contains a integral factory mixed aggregate and uses Stormcure catalyst for rapid cure times with walk times of 30-60 minutes. ProGrip is available in a range of 8 standard and custom colors and has outstanding adhesion properties. ProGrip is able to bond to Stormcure waterproof membranes and a range of other substrates. ProGrip has waterproofing properties when used in isolation for surfacing applications, however should full waterproof protection be required it should be utilized in conjunction with Stormcure liquid applied membranes.

PARKING GARAGE
The client sought a visually pleasing, tough and durable surfacing solution for a resident’s parking garage. New parking lines also needed to be formed, along with directional markings, and a tough anti-slip finish was needed for safe pedestrian traffic. The client turned to Stormcure, who specified the rapid and durable ProGrip system to rejuvenate the parking garage and offer a lasting surfacing solution.

Project Challenges
Over time, the asphalt covering above this parking garage had aged and was showing signs of wear-and-tear. The line markings had faded away, meaning residents were unable to efficiently park their cars.
The asphalt surface had also become slippery, presenting a fall risk for residents and claims against the building proprietors.
The client was also requiring a brighter aesthetic with clearly defined parking spaces. The client invited Stormcure to assess the condition of the parking garage. The asphalt was found to be in an adequate condition to provide waterproofing, therefore a surfacing solution was recommended that would meet the
demands of this project: Stormcure ProGrip.
The Solution
The team placed a strong emphasis on substrate preparation, which is crucial for any application, especially on a frequently used surface like a car park. The extensive preparation ensured that the Stormcure Uni-Primer DP had good surface adhesion before the Stormcure ProGrip system was applied. A vivid Sky Blue color was chosen to enhance the aesthetics of the parking garage, with Traffic White used to form the parking lines and markings.
In just a single coat, ProGrip was applied to the entire area and cured to form a walkable surface 30 – 60 minutes after application. This meant the project could be completed in an extremely short timeframe, quickly granting access for the
residents and minimizing disruption The finished results exceeded the client’s expectations and delivered real value through the long-lasting, durable and
attractive finish achieved by the Stormcure Authorized Contractor.
